Caught Ali Shaheed Mohammad’s set (on a Pioneer mixer no doubt) at Cheval last night and snapped this pic of the famed Tribe Called Quest DJ / Producer along with Chip Fu of the Fu-Schnikens and Snow’s DJ, Marvin Prince. Some hip-hop history right here.
Ali did an amazing set filled with classics and tons of Tribe material that you never hear in clubs like Phony Rappers, an underrated battle track off Beats, Rhymes and Life.
